Okay, I can't currently brain enough to do a proper writeup of Battler's heart but I know people were interested to know what kind of changes they made so ASK ME ABOUT THEM HERE??

ALSO YES Erika didn't really...cause any significant changes? Mostly her conversations with the NPCs left Battler with a clear impression that she just Does Not Get It, and also that expecting her to change her ways is completely useless.

The yellow buds would have given off vague Raven feels, though not any clear memories or such! There were also Things that could have been done with both kinds of flowers, but I don't want to go into too much detail about that in case Seth's thread still continues in that direction :|a

If Erika had ended up going to a different part of the heart, the chapel for instance, would she have gone through with her threat of messing things up?

PROBABLY.

She wouldn't have been like... wantonly destructive though? Walking into a heart and maliciously breaking random stuff isn't actually her style as much as people will yell at her about it. Since she's all about revealing the ~truth~ it would be more digging out hidden things or changing things where the trigger seems like it will push Battler more towards what she considers "reality". She would probably have had fun with anger NPC at the very least!

Bbbbbasically it contained the capability to kill. That's why anger NPC talked about having the option not to be killed in a kill or be killed situation! As a more ruthless and vengeful aspect of the heart, he wanted the box open, but it goes so hard against Battler's sense of morality that he was unable to touch it.

Because of that sense of morality, if the box had been opened but anger NPC left in the closet, there would have been pretty much no outward change. Battler might have ended up feeling more conflicted in terms of trauma games and such, but ultimately he would still be unwilling to ever actually kill anyone.

However, no matter what happened with anger NPC, opening the box would have made certain parts of the heart more physically dangerous and potentially deadly. For example, entering the garden would have become a lot more difficult.
