Current Raven feels are more or less the same as before, just more so? That is, Raven is a cool guy and Battler likes and respects him a lot, and considers him one of his best friends in Aather! But is also insanely jealous of his relationship with Beato because MY WITCH NOBODY ELSE ALLOWED!! Though he tries to keep that out of mind because clearly Beato loves Raven too and he wants to respect her feelings!

So while there is still a lot of awkward because of relationship issues, Battler's also a lot more comfortable with Raven in general which is why he felt okay coming to visit him in Tiger's Eye! Which probably means there will be less freaking out if the subject of kissing comes up again, he'll just try to laugh it off instead :|a

Okay well the main changes for Erika->Battler is that she has mmmmmoderately more respect for him! Since she remembered the end of EP5 where he finds the solution and beats her. Obviously she has known that happened for a while but that's different than actually experiencing it! Also obviously she still hates him a lot for it but she can hate him a lot and still acknowledge that he came back from utter defeat and had a pretty clever twisted theory that beat her. :| :| :/a She actually had this thread with Vincent where Vincent asked for other people who might be interested in a murder mystery game, and Erika was like "no not really, even Battler would probably think you're a terrible Game Master." SO THERE YOU GO BATTLER YOU GOT SOME SIDEWAYS RESPECT, CONGRATULATIONS.

Though getting her logic error-setup murder memory did drop that back down a little, because really. What sort of lame closed rooms were those, that's the most predictable trick in the book. :|

She is also less confident that she actually kept him trapped since everyone keeps telling her she got beaten again, but that's mostly directed at Beatrice because she's the one offering that challenge!

Of course she's always on the lookout for ways to humiliate Battler again, because even if he did stay trapped he's clearly feeling entirely too okay about it at the moment. But you know, that's how it goes.

Battler's current feelings on Emerald?

Battler kind of lost touch with his team for a bit because he was so busy with canonmates and there were a lot of games and events and such where teams got split up, but he's been talking with them more recently and is very happy about that! He very much continues to see Emerald as his family in Aather and makes a conscious effort to be the best teammate/brother figure he can with them. A lot of time that just means helping as much as he can in games or when one of them is having trouble or such, but he also tries to be more open and honest with them than other people to a degree. Not entirely though, because he doesn't want to worry them with his issues or his bad habit of dying a lot :x

I think he's also only recently started feeling less like 'the new guy' so he's more on equal terms with his senior teammates and feels more comfortable being less respectful and more natural with them.

Raven on TE?

Raven loves TE a lot. '-' He will openly say that he doesn't know what he would have done without them, because he knows a huge part of what has made him a better person in Aather was their influence!! Lately he ends up in this weird position a lot of the time where he doesn't think he's responsible or anything, but well he's clearly more responsible than Mitchell the unstable vampire murderer, and Naoto and Josh and Ferris will tell him he acts like the leader and that they have faith in him, and the others are kids/a puppy and someone clearly has to take care of them, so he ends up being more or less responsible and leadery? Which is helping a lot of his personal growth and self-confidence, even if he's still not great about it, but at the same time pulling him away from his team personally a bit because in his head he can't be responsible and be open and talk about his feelings and stuff because his problems are stupid and he's not actually an admirable person in any way. He is especially doing this with Regal because obviously he has to put on a good face for the new kid. '-'a

Though they call him on that sometimes! Like Sieh did in this recent game.

In general though he loves the team and cares about them all a lot and is happy they tend to be so functional, overall, because it means they're not actually relying on him too much.

What do you think it would have been like if Battler showed up as the first Umineko character in Aather?

Haha, that's really hard to say, since one of the main reasons I apped in the first place was the awesome Umineko cast!

I do think that I would have given him a different starter though, probably something from the first couple of episodes. That, plus not having Beatrice around and becoming aware of her feelings so soon, would have made him develop a lot more into his question arc self, as opposed to what has actually happpened with him taking on aspects both from Chiru and the question arcs! So he'd be a lot louder and more hotblooded and open about his feelings in general.

Also, without canonmates who share his experiences he'd have probably clung more tightly to his teammates more tightly and relied on them for emotional support '-'a

You gave Raven's impressions on Beatrice's timeline in your meme but what about Umineko in general? DOES IT MAKE ANY SENSE TO HIM

NO........

Well, mostly not. He doesn't really have a whole lot of impressions of it beyond Beatrice! Basically everything Battler tells him is news, so you have seen most of his impressions IC.

He was vaguely under the impression that the game was an intellectual battle not exactly happening in reality before, but he's a very practical person so really getting the concept doesn't come very easily to him, and he doesn't have a whole lot of concrete examples anyway, although Battler explaining the chapel closed room puzzle helped some. He understands the idea of it being an important competition or a test for Battler though! And he believes that Battler can win it, both because he gets the impression that he did before and just forgot, and because it would be sad if Beatrice had to be disappointed.

It all seems to involve a lot of misunderstandings and Beatrice maybe or maybe not murdering Battler's family, though, so he sort of thinks they should move on to better and happier things as soon as that is dealt with...! And as far as the actual setting goes he basically gets the idea Beatrice's life was kind of a terrible trap of servitude, abuse and insecurity and she isn't missing anything good by not being there now that Battler is here.

I am apping Lee Everett from the Walking Dead game as a knight as soon as I finish his app WHICH SHOULD BE TODAY OR TOMORROW. He's a history teacher who was going to prison for murder when the zombie apocalypse hit and then became a badass zombie fighter and surrogate father to the most adorable little girl in any video game ever.

And when hero apps open, I'm apping Asahina Aoi from Dangan Ronpa! She's a ridiculously enthusiastic athlete with a love for donuts who gets involved a Battle Royale/Phoenix Wright crossover and as a result gets a really awesome girlfriend and tons of character development!

no idea if I can actually handle three characters but there's no harm in trying, right

I don't actually have anyone else I particularly want to app right now! My app urges are actually very infrequent, which is why I played only Raven for such a long time until I found just the right female psychopath to app. (Guess who!!) And I haven't gotten super excited about any new canons since Tiger & Bunny!

I guess under the strict parameters of the question, if I had to drop someone and app someone else, I would drop Kotetsu and app Karina from Tiger & Bunny instead. Like a reasonable person.

OKAY SO there's a school called Hope's Peak Academy! It only accepts in students who are the top of their chosen field or Super High-School Level; for example, Asahina is a SHSL Swimmer. The game's protagonist, Naegi Makoto, is kind of a special case, though. He won a lottery arranged by the school and because of that was accepted in as SHSL Good Luck.

So Naegi and the other new students enter the school, but immediately pass out and wake up to find that every door and window leading to the outside has been tightly locked, trapping them inside. A stuffed toy/robot called Monobear appears, claiming to be the headmaster, and tells them the only way to get out of the school is to "graduate". The way to graduate? You have to kill one of your fellow students without being discovered by the others. If you succeed, everyone else is killed and you get out. If the others find out you're the culprit, you're killed and the others keep going. Later on, Monobear keeps providing the students with "motives": threats to loved ones, threatening to reveal everyone's darkest secrets unless a murder occurs, etc.

Eventually bodies do start appearing, and it's mostly up to Naegi to investigate and find the true culprits. Every time there is a murder, Monobear sets up a School Trial where the students must provide evidence and arguments to try and prove their innocence or someone else's guilt. The trials are very much in the style of Phoenix Wright or Umineko, with a lot of dramatic yelling and coloured text and arguments taking the form of metaphorical bullets. Alongside the murder storylines, you also get to learn a lot about each student's past and personality as well as the trying to uncover the truth about the school and the mastermind behind all these twisted events.

Basically it's a really cool and fun game and definitely worth checking out! There's an excellent Let's Play/translation of it right here!
