...Honestly Battler has no idea what is going on with this relationship or where it is going?? He finds himself very much in love with Beatrice even though he's not entirely sure how he got there from thinking that maybe she's not entirely bad. He's okay with it though '-'a
There's two big issues there, the first of which is Raven! Because obviously he is also very close with Beatrice, and it makes Battler pretty damn jealous, especially since Raven's been there longer in Aather and because he still seems to know something Battler doesn't! But Raven is also a really cool guy and a good friend and even actively helping out with solving Beato's riddle? So there are a lot of conflicting feelings there and no idea how things could get resolved.
The second thing is that obviously Battler still hasn't figured out what Beatrice's deal is. So since he doesn't understand her motives, he has no idea how to reconcile the Beatrice from his memories with the things he's learned about her in Aather and that just makes things extra confusing!
Mostly he's just doing the same thing he has for a while now, which is to go along with what happens and wait for things to make more sense '-' Though recently I've been prioritising memories that motivate him to try and think a little harder about what it all means, so we'll see how that goes!
