Battler loves Emerald and thinks they are the best team! He really appreciates the similarities between him and his teammates, how they're all stubborn and determined and want to at least try to do the right thing! He sees them as family in Aather, and in some ways feels much closer to them than he ever did to some of his real family back home.

For a while he felt kind of distanced from them because they mainly interact as a team only in games, and it felt like there were a lot of games that split teams up? But after they had their big fight in the Nimue/Odile game and reconciled afterwards, a lot of his team dere returned. And now with Nachume gone Battler has kind of made a conscious decision to have a lot of team spirit!! and give the new teammate the best welcome when he shows up!!
